 Dear brothers and sisters,

Praise the Lord for His continued, matchless love and grace. I am so thankful for this outpouring over my life. Are you?

That rest that we seek can only be found in Christ Jesus our Lord. Have you tried to rest while your brain is working overtime. Dealing with issues and never getting a resolution? Do you know that Jesus understands?

I want to look at a warning in the Word; one of many. While praying for my eyes to be open and my heart to be held fast in His hands, guess what I was doing? Cleaning the windows outdoors. While the next couple of days are going to warm up a bit, I thought this the perfect time. While it is Today!

As the puffy clouds were reflected in the glass, I realized that the eyes of my soul needed a cleaning. It may sound a bit stuffy, but I went through our movie shelf and pulled out the ones that just aren't right for me to view. To someone else, they may be 'okay' but Holy Spirit is always doing a new work, isn't He?

Once the windows were sparkling I was drawn to read Hebrews. There in chapter 3:12-15 we can see that God has drawn a line in the sand. He is a just God. So we need to believe what He says.

"Therefore beware] brethren, take care, lest there be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to cleave to, trust in, and rely on Him], leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the living God."

We are called to come close to the Father. If our heart isn't believing in the words He has spoken we become distant and we stand apart from His loving-kindness.

"But instead warn (admonish, urge, and encourage) one another every day, as long as it is called Today, that none of you may be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [by the fradulence, the stratagem, the trickery which the delusive glamor of his sin may play on him]."

That is pretty strong language isn't it? We need this though in these last days. So many of our youth are believeing the lie that everything will be better if they take their lives. I heard of three just this morning! Right in the circle of my grandchildren. They tried to warn. A definite wake-up call to parents.

Older people, we are not exempt from this warning. We get too comfortable in our retired state and can easily become deluded. All stand before the Lord.

You may have heard...The eyes of the soul are like windows? It is true. WE need to teach our youth to discern what is behind the eyes of their friends. If darkness, bring them into the Light of Jesus! That is just one instance. Never allow yourself to be deceived because others are playing a christian game. WE are either in or we are out.

"For we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us, if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end."

WE cannot expect to stand on sandy ground while the waves of a storm are upon us. WE need the Solid Rock! The Lord has fresh life for us, daily. Let's believe Him!

"Then while it is [still] called Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion [in the desert, when the people provoked and irritated and embittered God against them]."

WE cannot blame God for the junk we are wading through. There is nothing around us that we cannot bring to Him. He is our security in a fallen world. It doesn't matter if Holy Spirit is warning you about what movies you watch or the way you dress, or the people in your circle. WE are called to obediance and in that is our greatest freedom!

WE come to the Lord for a new life. In Him we are confident that we can obey His leading. If someone has darkness behind their eyes, pray for them and ask God to give you an opportunity to tell them about Jesus. While it is Today. They may not be here tomorrow.

Lord, please make my eyes to see things the way You do. Help me to know when to act, when to speak, when to walk away. I pray Your Holy Spirit fills each of us with fresh annointing to deliver the Good News. Forgive our chosen blindness, what ever that may represent. Renew our rest as we submit our lives to You, regardless of our circumstances. You alone are able to keep us. Praise be to Your matchless name, amen.

Well, I hope this all made some sense to you. Sometimes it is difficult for me to put into words what my heart is saying. All I know is I want clean windows! So others will see the Light and reflection of Jesus in me. God bless you and keep you until we meet again.

Abundance is...free from a hard heart
