 Dear bothers and sisters,

"Happy and blessed are the people who are in such a case, yes, happy (blessed, fortunate, prosperous, to be envied) are the people whose God is the Lord!" Psalm 144:15.

In spite of how I feel. What ever the weather. While I am waiting. There are some things that are sure and never change. Having the Lord God as my own gives me reason to rest assured.

I am noticing how dark grey the sky is this morning. The wind is pulling the leaves from their branches, casting them to the ground. The last flowers are falling away to fade in the cold. While this death shows its latest colors in the Autumn leaves, they are still dying.

Is that where we are to leave our thoughts? No, because soon enough, the robe of winter white will melt away as it waters the trees and plants for coming Spring. What a grand picture of hope!

It is the same with our thought life. There are seasons when we are sure the ones we love are dying, never to be seen again. God tells us different. He wants us to be warmed from our frosty thoughts and think on what is to come. Read 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Comfort is within the promises of God.

We can be assured that while we wait we are learning to love God better. When He comes to us; we will have joy unspeakable! C.H. Spurgeon tells us..."Waiting exercises our grace; waiting tries our faith; therefore, wait on in hope; for though the promise tarry, it can never come too late."

While we wait, we rest in His love. We can declare with David in Psalm 144:2..."My Steadfast Love and my Fortress, my High Tower and my Deliverer, my Shield and He in Whom I trust and take refuge." Who is the Lord in this season of your life?

Will you declare His wonderful goodness and love to those around you? You may be God's voice to those also waiting for "Spring" time. What if you are alone? You can still raise your voice because the angels in heaven are listening too. If you are plagued with dark thoughts, bring them captive as you worship Mighty God. Keep praising Almighty God!

This is going to be a short entry today. Let the Word of God speak to you in whatever situation you find yourself. Trust in Jesus as your matchless Savior and Friend.

Say with me..."The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created]." From Psalm 145:9.

May the Lord bless you today. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]." 1 Corinthians 15:58. With the Love of Jesus, love one another!

Abundance is...His Love assures me
