    Dear brothers and sisters,

Today is the day the Lord has made! I want to take a few moments to remember Who God Is and who i am. In doing this the load we carry becomes His. As we lift it to Him.

The God Who made the heavens, the earth and all that are in them, is able. Whether we are in a valley or on a mountain top; in the dark or in places of light...He sees every heart. Why, He searches the hearts that are ripe for His Love to be planted, to grow and bear much fruit. A harvest is coming.

I will not presume to know what is best for your situation. But, I do know He loves you so much! He makes a way for us to be free. I remember today that He is Jehovah-shalom, my Prince of Peace. Jesus is All Peace!

With Psalm 98:1-2..."O sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him. The LORD has made know His salvation; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations." His LOVE is obvious!

Where ever you live, He still does wonderful things. Even in the middle of a burning forest, open plain, or eruptions of turmoil; He is still GOD. He is in control and will bring to pass His good plans and purposes. If only we would trust Him in all of this.

We were told from long ago, in the passages of the Bible that calamities would come. Even more as The Day of the LORD approaches. WE shouldn't be surprised at the horror leashed against the people of God. Yet, in all of this we can have a song of Redemption ringing in our souls. Without seeing, we are believing He hears our song, birthed by His Spirit, growing in our hearts.

There was a bad wind storm this morning. I only saw trees move one other time like today. Not just swaying but looking like they were trying to turn in a circle. The snow made funnels, the clouds lifted and fell to the ground. Amazing and somewhat frightening to watch. Was God still in control? Yes. Did the wind die down and the snow fall quietly again? Yes. God was in control.

I was reminded to worship Him. Not later, but as the storm was happening. The lesson I gained from this was to continue to praise Him because He is worthy to be praised. To honor the One God Who holds all things in His hands.

As long as God's Spirit hovers over the earth, we can know the comfort, the sweet fellowship of His presence and a song to sing.

WE are nothing without Jesus Christ! I know this very well. So many things I have tried to control and make the outcome the way I determined in my mind. That rarely goes the way I think. Especially with the unforeseen future looming ahead on my pathway.

The fog won't get any clearer seeing with our feeble eyes. I will rest on God's Word. Will you? When you are at your wits' end who will you call for help? Whether He calms the storm or He calms me while the storm rages all around, He is God.

Psalms 107:27-30 says, "...they were at their wits' end. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still, so that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet; so He guided them to their desired haven. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men!"

As we close Heartstrings for today what will you say of the LORD? Is He really in control of every area of your life? Be still and know that He Is God. Let His perfect peace fall upon you. Ask Jesus to be your LORD and King. He is ready to take your hand. God bless you. Love in Christ, Patricia.

Abundance is...my thoughts toward HIM
