 Dear family of God,

Welcome back! I hope you have had a good weekend. What has God spoken to your heart lately? Do you need a fresh Word? There has been a number of references to having 2020 vision this year. I take this as more than just a play on words, or numbers. I really believe God wants our attention to be on Him.

Since this is a new day, we can walk a new way, think a new way and abide in Jesus like never before. He is the bridge to a brand new life. I love having another chance! When we read the Word of God, we have the opportunity for a total make-over.

You might think like I did just now, it's about the whole remake of our external person. But, there is so much more than makeup and a new wardrobe. I saw a couple of those shows and I always wondered how those people lived a year down the road?

I sure hope someone is encouraged today. The Good News is, we have a new way in the Love of God. We are made new from the inside. The light in our eyes reflects the beauty and glory of God. That is what people will remember about us. What do they see?

Last Saturday I was writing something in my journal. My pen ran out of ink. I tried three others and they did the same! Finally, I grabbed a pencil. Frustrating? Yes. Then, I went through two more on Sunday. What are the chances of that happening?

So, I just kept thinking about running out of ink. Which in turn made me think about running out of energy, joy, peace...you get the idea. Well, I asked the Holy Spirit to show me what I needed to know. Open my eyes Lord!

Have you ever prayed that? When our lives turn dull and the cataracts of worry cause our sight to be dimmed, our vision begins to wane. Like those pens. The "ink" that speaks, doesn't have to run out. WE have an eternal fountain from a loving Lord and Master.

We can come for a fresh supply each day, as often as we need. We can apply the Words of God to our situation. When we lack the ability to focus on things that are good and sound, we only need to go to our Source. Jesus Christ.

Reading through the Gospels, I am seeing that every person with a need found Jesus was the healer, the provider, the Way, Truth and Life. The only ones that missed His grace were those too religious to recognize Him.

Like Pharoah, with all the signs and wonders God made right in front of him...he turned his back to God and was hard hearted. He remained an empty soul.

Think about Noah. All those years of people watching and waiting to see what would happen...only to find themselves too late, pounding on a big door in the rain.

If I surrender my life to God, really surrender then I can trust Him to keep the flow going. More than once Jesus said, "Your faith has made you whole." Do you want to be whole? I sure do! Whole and full!

Be sure that your journey is towards God, not away from Him. Before you begin enter into His presence where you will find strength to proceed. Keep your eyes fixed on Him.

There are so many scriptures I can think of that I could have tucked here and there today in Heartstrings. Will you take the time to search out the ones that Holy Spirit wants to show you?

If you are in trouble, do as David did and cry out to the Lord. Submit your burden to Him. You will find His mercy and forgiveness for your sins. Be still for awhile. Then lift your praise to His great and Holy name!

Psalm 16:2..."I say to the Lord, You are my Lord; I have no good beside or beyond You." In the matchless name of Jesus, let Him be your All in All.

Abundance is...a ready pen in His hands
