Dear family of God,

I sincerely need your prayers this morning for wisdom, patience and healing. Waiting for an answer from the Lord is always in His own time, haven't you found this to be true?

I woke with a headache. My vision is effected and since I can't take drugs, I have to stay within a calm place of mind. The only place I know to go is to Jesus. I know the Father sees me and has good plans for me. I do hope to be able to write to you and trust the Holy Spirit to use His Word in your life. Thank you for your prayers.

Psalm 37:7 says, "Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him.."

When you are going through trials isn't it good to know we can lean on Jesus? Sometimes we pray and pray and wait and wait and still don't hear from Him. Don't give up! Wait in the right place, where He can meet with you.

In Romans 8:25 it tell us to wait with patience. The Lord knows our need better than we do. The promises He gives us in The Word are equal to His presence. There is something that happens in my weakened soul when I consider this. To be in His presence then is to have His promises. Right? The purpose in waiting is to bring more glory out of our situation.

Patience takes away self-works. The work that He desires is that we believe. John 6:29. When we believe then, we will know that every little thing is going to be alright.

Patience takes away our want of anything but more of Him. It is by trusting that Jesus is doing the work that through this we will become stronger. But, more than that, our desire for His will is really going to happen.

Patience takes away all weakening. Because God is working on a greater supply we must be readied for it. This is God's timing too. He is all our supply isn't He? The Lord goes with us through the storm, will take our hand and lead us to calm delight.

Patience takes away all wobbling. "Make me stand upon my standing" is what Daniel 8:18 talks about. No matter what causes us to loose footing; whether an Angel or an anxiety or illness...WE CAN be made strong. God's foundations are steady; and when His patience is in us, we are steady while we wait.

Patience gives worship. A praise filled patience sometimes means "longsuffering with joyfulness." Colossians 1:11 tells us..."[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) WITH JOY."

This is the emphasis I am longing for today. Even with all this physical stuff happening, I want JOY to be what pours out of my life. We are told in James 1:4..."But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing."

So while we wait on the Lord WE CAN be greatly enriched. I am again so grateful for those who have gone before me. This entry was written with highlights from "Streams in the Desert". Right where I am at.

I hope you are encouraged with me. I do pray that we all will learn to see the treasures of patience. Our journeys differ in circumstances but I believe the Word of God is alive today. Will you?

May the joy of the Lord be your strength as you let patience do a perfect work. I pray for you in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and King. Amen.

Abundance is...reflecting on His promises
