Good evening dear ones,

As we gather together I would love for you to take a few moments to calm your heart. Lift up your heavy hands. Draw into the heart of God. This day has had His fingerprints all over it, if only we open our eyes to see.

I pray you are safe and well. Please lift my youngest grandchild up as she has a fever. Of course, with all that is going on around us, there is extra concern. What parent wouldn't be? You understand.

Young and old, we all need to take this time to really consider what is of most value. Extract the precious from the worthless with me as we look into God's Love Letter now.

All of our troubling thoughts we bring to You Lord Jesus. We trust You to take care of all our needs whether great or small. Teach us Holy Spirit how to take life as precious. Our faith as precious. We ask You to place a guard about us and win this battle we are in. Thank you for redeeming us and crowning us with Your loving-kindness and compassion. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, amen.

If you have been a believer for very long you will know that the Bible you have in your hands is of greater value than anything else you could own. There are treasures within that bring us fresh life, living water and the promise of eternity with God our Father.

Because at this difficult time in our history, many will be looking for a savior from their pain and someone to hold up as knowing everything and trust...We have this warning in 1 John 4:1-4.

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world."

Did you get all of that? Only God could have made His Word alive for us in this generation! I am so grateful to be His little child. Knowing this, I believe Jesus will give me discernment in these last days.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ."

I think I have struggled with my thought life more than any other time. Not that I am thinking bad things but, the lies of the enemy bombard my mind, especially when it is dark. Fears, doubt, discouragement; those kinds of things.  I am learning to bring them quickly before God's throne of grace and lift up praise for Who He Is. Then I find peace again.

In chapter 12, verse nine of 2 Corinthians we see His promise..."And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me."

So how is your mind working? Are you able to quickly extract the precious from the worthless? It is a learning process isn't it?

This afternoon, I took a quick walk across the neighbors pasture to stand in the middle of the dry creek bed. There will be water flowing as soon as the snow begins to melt off the mountains. I heard a different sound this time. Instead of water, I heard the wind in the Ponderosa trees high above me. It reminded of waves crashing on the shore when we lived at the beach. It was then that I knew God was watching over me. I felt His presence with me. On my way home I happened to look down and found a heart shaped rock. Isn't God good?

The blue sky was unexpected today. The walk unplanned by me. The sound of the trees worshipping their creator. And, even the little rock. All spoke to me that I am loved by God. He is mighty and so worthy of praise!

In times like these we need Him! I am humbled by His amazing grace and the outpouring of His love in the simple things. The precious. As we are in lockdown, we must have faith that He sees us. Then, as a child look for His fingerprints through our day.

Will you trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior today? He is waiting. God bless you and keep you until we meet again. "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might." Ephesians 6:10.

Abundance is...the matchless name of Jesus
