Dear family and friends,

Although it is rare these days due to our faster way of communicating, don't you just love getting a handwritten letter or note in the mail? I sure do. It might be my age. However, I have decided to pick up my pen and write more often. The blessings for the receiver as well as for myself outweigh the time it takes and the stress on these old hands.

Can you imagine with me how awesome it would be for someone to get a letter from Moses or Joshua? How about King David or Esther? They are important in the story God writes on their lives. Ours is also a story to be told. There is something wonderful for us as we read their stories. Something to apply to our own lives. God didn't keep them for us then say, "oops". He knew what we would need.

When we share the wonders of God, we find added strength for the journey. We find there is always someone who needs an encouraging word. I sure do! And, I do long to hear from you.

The prophet Micah, who we can read about in the old testiment, predicted judgement, restoration and leaves off with a plea for repentance. People never change do they.

Our world is a mess but, a mess that God sincerely loves. He sees each individual heart and longs to bring ours to be united with His. As we see the tough stuff going on around us, we can be no better place than abiding in His Love.

Micah says in chapter 5:5, speaking of Messiah..."And this One will be our peace." Plain and simple. Our Jesus, our redeemer is the One Who will be our peace! Do you know Him today?

Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us, "Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you: He will not fail you or forsake you."

Joshua 1:9 says, "Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

There are many scary people out there from those who lie openly to terrorists pushing their agenda to repress our freedoms. Does this look like the kind of God we are called to serve? Division, destruction, delusion are all the work of the enemy.

We are called to take up the armor of God. Read Ephesians 6. The Lord is our Banner, Jehovah Nissi! We are called to follow and quickly obey as warriors of the cross of Christ.

It might be that God calls us to walk around our Jericho for a few days, quietly obeying and trusting Him as our Matchless Warrior; our Commander and Chief.

Where are you at today? I mean spiritually. Where is your heart residing. Who are you trusting to care for your needs? If Jesus is our peace then, we'd better draw closer to Him wouldn't you agree?

Finally, making this our prayer...Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation--whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life--of whom shal I be afraid?"

Cast all your cares on the Lord! Yahweh knows and He sees where you are today. Your circumstances haven't surprised Him in the least. Call on Him while He may be found.

Lord Jesus, I need to be revived! I need You and depend on Your touch to strengthen me for the battle ahead. I bring my thoughts to You. They keep me awake at night. I want to trust You completely and find fresh life and perfect peace. I come to You and give my life to Your will. I love You Lord and will direct my voice in praise to honor Your name. Bless You Jesus, amen.
