Dear Heartstrings family,

Thank you for coming back today. I know I have been away for awhile. Things happen and it just wasn't the time to rush in with words just to fill a space. Sometimes it is best to be quiet and listen.

Many years ago when my children were young, finances were tight, and I was not content in my own body, the Lord gave me a song. It was only this morning that those words seeped back into my soul. God is so good and knows the right time to remind us doesn't He?

"When the winds blow hard on the sea of life may I know who I am without worry or strife. To just say 'Hush and be still' in Jesus name and go on from there another victory gained.

A child of the King am I today. A winner, not a looser ever again. With power and authority over Satan's games my life's another victory gained.

When the mountain stands tall above the valleys below, and it seems so far to climb above my every foe. I just look up and to the One Who cares for me and keep climbing to the next victory.

You know there are so many places in God's Love Letter to us that show He is able to bring us into the place of victory. Whether we stumble through the day fearful of what hasn't even happened. Or, we succumb to laziness and believe there is no use for someone like me. Maybe, your situation does seem pretty bleak. But, the only way to climb out of that pit of destruction is to raise your hands up and grab hold of the hands extended to you from above.

Jesus is the only reason I am alive today. There is no One Who can save me from all my sins and keep me safe, heal all my diseases and redeem my life from the pit. All discouragement, despair, weariness, doubt and fear have to go in the name of Jesus Christ. He is Lord! 

I read in Psalm 40 today, verse 16-17 these words. "Let all those that seek and require You rejoice and be glad in You; let such as love Your salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified! ~ [As for me] I am poor and needy, yet the Lord takes thought and plans for me. You are my Help and my Deliverer, O my God, do not tarry!"

Teach us Holy Spirit how to worship. We give all our cares into Your care and will trust You to guide us each day. Remind us to drop our burdens at the feet of Jesus. Then help us to look up, no matter how bad the storm or how high the mountain we must climb. Keep our feet from stumbling along the way of God's choosing. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

God bless and keep you in His secret place. There remain fixed and stable under the shadow of His wings, and in His power where no foe can stand against us.

Welcome family and friends to Heartstrings

Hear my cry O Lord, attend unto my prayer. When my heart is overwhelmed please lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. 

You are my tower of strength. When I am weak You are my Refuge and my Fortress. I long to see Your face. You are my dwelling place.

I behold the beauty of the Lord as I seek His goodness in my life. I will trust in Him my Master and Redeemer. He is my Living Water in this dry and thirsty land. My soul longs for the courts of the Lord.

This are random thoughts this morning as I gaze out at the bright sunrise. Birds worship. The dew is on the grasses and leaves. All due to the lovely mercy of the Lord, the Creator and Life giver.

The Lord alone deserves our praise. It does not matter how things appear. If you have made a choice to follow Jesus Christ as your Savior, your eyes will be opened to many blessings. No matter what people are saying, stay close to the Lord. He only is our hope and confidence in the time of trouble. 

I came across a little poem I read years ago. I now have it tacked on my wall by my computer. It didn't show an author. I want to share it today with you. May you be encouraged in this present time, on this path you are on. Bless you.

It is titled...The Master's Way 

"Not ours to know the reason why, unanswered is our prayer.

But ours to wait for God's own time to lift the Cross we bear;

Not ours to know the reason why: from loved ones we must part, but ours to live in Faith and Hope, though bleeding to the heart:

Not ours to know the reason why this anguish, strife and pain, but ours to know a crown of thorns sweet graces for us gain,

A cross, a bleeding heart and crown ~ what greater gifts are given?

Be still my heart and murmur not; these are the keys of Heaven."

"He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths." Isaiah 2:3

While I was outside taking in the wonderful sights and sounds of this morning I remembered a scripture from Jeremiah 15:19.

"Therefore, thus says the Lord, "If you return, then I will restore you--before Me you will stand; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, you will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, but as for you, you must not turn to them." And it goes on with the benefits of following the Lord. Read on.

I am so grateful for another day to worship the Lord in my simple way. To know that His presence is always with me. I am filled with fresh oil in the Holy Spirit so I can share God's Love Letter with you and those I meet along the way. I am praying for you. I know the Lord desires to meet with you today, no matter your condition. If you have sin holding you back then by all means this only speaks of how much God loves you. Come as you are and tell Him you want Him to cover your sins and give you fresh life. His Spirit will fill you and give you understanding of The Way, The Truth and The Life. The Lord is preparing a place for you! Free from sin and death. No pain, no sorrow, no more searching. Heaven does sound pretty wonderful to me! Do you agree?

Abundance is...walking with the Master

"Grace and spiritual blessing be to you and [soul] peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), Who gave (yielded) Himself up [to atone] for our sins [and to save and sanctify us], in order to rescue and deliver us from this present wicked age and world order, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father ~ To Him [be ascribed all] the glory through all the ages of the ages and the eternities of the eternities! Amen (so be it)." Galatians 1:3-5.

Reading this in the past I never noticed the words soul peace. I had to pause and think about this. You know as well as I do all the evil plots and plans against the Chosen of God. It is not exclusive to one nation but all around the world today.

Does God give the gift of soul peace? Do you believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Have you made Him your Lord and King? Why not now?

The more I am in God's Word I am realizing that if there is any sin that I am not willing to bring to the Cross, I must love my sin more than being free in Christ. Too long have I wrestled with it and thought I could just brush it under the carpet. Those bad attitudes may not show up in front of others because I learned to play the game as a pretender. At my age, with what I am reading in my Bible, there needs to be a cleansing on all levels, everyday. Because I just can't fix myself. Yes, I tried...and failed. Only through Christ am I finding fresh life and boundless soul peace.

So today I am praising the Lord and keeper of my soul! His grace and the spiritual blessing of being in His presence outweighs all the treasures of earth. I will seek His kingdom first. I will walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the desires of my flesh. I will trust Him and listen for His voice.

Romans 13:14 says, "But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts)." 

Okay, I read it. Can I ignore it? Not anymore. Am I talking about wanting a cup of ice cream? Am I talking about putting away social media for the feels? What about the 'perfect' diet club? Can I put down entertainment long enough to be still in His presence? These are some of the questions that come to my mind. I realize today that anything that takes priority over my walk with God fast becomes an idol. God does hate idol worship doesn't He?

Will you pray with me? Father God, I want to say along with David that You are the one thing that I will seek and insistently require. I want to dwell in the secret place Most High. I know in Your presence is the place where I find beauty and delight of the Lord. This is where I want to meditate and spend time with You...in Your Presence. I seek the place of joy. I will find it in You. I will seek Your face and look to You as my vital need. On the authority of Your Word I wait and hope for and expect You, Lord. I will be brave and courageous, stout and enduring as I place all my expectation on You. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ be glorified forever and ever, amen.

If you need strength for the battle, heart and soul peace come to Jesus. If you desire a song in the night, call on Him. 

Psalm 28:7 says, "The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trust in , relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him."

Have a blessed day in the name of Jesus. You are in my prayers. The Lord is good, all the time. Trust Him.

Abundance is...a soul at rest

Dear brothers and sisters,

Do you need a time out? At time away from trouble? The world offers us remedies in the form of pills usually, but with side effects. I have only found one place where my soul is refreshed and that is when I come before Father God and pay attention to His Word. His presence fills and satisfies all I need.

We have smoke filled skies again. The air smells dirty and feels gritty in my eyes and throat. I long for rain.

Sometimes, my heart fills dirty with all the worry and trying to make things happen without seeking the Lord's help.

Lead me to springs of living water Holy Spirit. Renew my mind and wash my heart clean. Help me to drop the cares and trust You Jesus. I need You every hour.

Proverbs 16:3 says from the Amplified Bible..."Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will and] so shall your plans be established and succeed."

Thank You Lord, I trust You and I believe You.

You are the refreshing I need today. Make my thoughts agreeable to Your will Oh Lord. The biggest part I can do for myself is to drop all the baggage at Your feet and worship You. This is regardless of the circumstances or how I feel at the moment. Whether people understand or if the sun is shining without the hindrance of smoke. I can only find satisfaction as I roll all of this upon You. 

Holy Spirit help each of us to settle down in Your presence and allow the Love of Jesus to bathe us from all the grit we have on us from the battlefield. Pour the oil of refreshing over us. Anoint us to sing praises before the throne of God. It is in Jesus matchless name I pray, amen.

Abundance is...leaving the cares, stepping into the waters of life

Good day and welcome family and friends

I pray you are safe and well today and walking with your hand in the hand of the Lord. Filled with His Spirit and taking everything that concerns your heart before the throne of grace. Exalting Him above all others and rejoicing in the Truth, The Word of God.

I know these days are difficult for many of you. I have also been hit with troubles. But, I am always able to come back to the beautiful love letter written by God, my Bible. There are so many reasons to put our trust in Jesus Christ. Have you seen how bold the enemy has become. His days are limited and soon all that really matters will be revealed. Praise the Lord for His matchless love that will never lead us astray!

Romans 10:9-13 says, "Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

"For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. 

"The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adhere to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.

"[No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].

"For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved." Amen.

Simply come! It is not too difficult unless you really love living in sin. Haven't you noticed how heavy your heart is under the weight? The burdens you carry will be removed as you give Jesus the highest position; Master of your life. Please come to Him while there is time. 

I want to pray for you. Heavenly Father, as we direct out focus on You please assure every heart and give peace that passes all understanding. Not one of us can fix ourselves. Make us clean. Pour Your matchless love over us as we bow before You. Move Holy Spirit. Blessed be Your Holy name. In the name of Jesus Amen.

"May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." Romans 15:13

Jesus I believe and trust You with all who come here. May Your Word be alive in their hearts and minds. Amen.
