Dear friends and family,

Are your eyes on the Word of God? That is where I want to keep my focus. No matter what my circumstances appear like, I want my response to be one of praise and so magnify the name of the Lord. Amen?

These are some of David's thoughts. Psalm 16. Pause for time to reflect on this in light of your own situation. You will be comforted.

Psalm 16:1-11 says, "Keep and protect me, O God, for in You I have found refuge, and in You do I put my trust and hide myself. ~ I say to the Lord, You are my Lord; I have no good beside or beyond You. ~ As for the godly (the saints) who are in the land, they are the excellent, the noble, and the glorious, in whom is all my delight. ~ Their sorrows shall be multiplied who choose another god; their drink offerings of blood will I not offer or take their names upon my lips."

Haven't you found that there are idols everywhere you look? Do they talk to your heart words of comfort founded on truth? Do they hear your unspoken prayers? Can they feel your pain and loneliness? They are just dumb idols made by the hands of man.

If you ask the Lord to open your eyes you will find His precious ones. You are not alone.

"The Lord is my chosen and assigned portion, my cup; You hold and maintain my lot. ~ The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage. ~ I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. ~ I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."

Have you given your whole heart to the Lord Jesus? Do you find that no matter where you are, He is there with you making any place pleasant? Fellowship with the One Who made you is the best place. In His presence is unspeakable freedom and joy. Yes, even if you are pacing the floor at night with words of praise and praying in the Spirit for those who are on your heart. Let Him counsel you and hold you upright, steadfast in His Love.

"Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety, for You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption."

Can you just hear the heart of Jesus here? Read Acts 13:35. The Father did not surrender His Son to death permanently. The power and will of Father and Son conquered death. So too, I believe I will rest secure in the plans of God. I have eternal life whether my body dies here on earth or I am raised when the trumpet sounds before my body sees death. My future is secure for all eternity! Is yours?

"You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."

Acts 2:25-28, 31 says, "For David says in regard to Him, I saw the Lord constantly before me, for He is at my right hand that I may not be shaken or overthrown or cast down [from my secure and happy state]. ~ Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope in anticipation of the resurrection]. ~ For you will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your Holy One know decay or see destruction [of the body after death]. ~ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will enrapture me [diffusing my soul with joy] with and in Your presence."

Well, there is so much to understand in God's Word. Read to the full for the best of all He has for you. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you apply with wisdom His precious promises. Seek the Lord. He is near.

I pray you have a deeper love for the things of God. He has the deepest desire to fellowship with you. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. Look forward to eternity with all of its blessings. God bless and keep you in His matchless name, amen.

Abundance is...for eternity
