Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Welcome to another Heartstrings. As The Day draws closer we are called to delight in the Lord; to abide in Him and be ready for His appearing. Are you?
Jude 24-25 says, "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen."
Who is Jude writing to? The Beloved in Christ Jesus. You and I. Isn't it wonderful that God hasn't left us to ourselves? I mean, there are some days I just don't feel like facing the world...but, He is able to keep me! I want the kind of joy that exceeds my ability to fix myself. I want to experience the glory of His presence. Don't you?
In the book of Revelation we find the words of Christ to the seven churches. As I take time reading these I can see the passion of the Lord for His Beloved. In 1:8 we read this..."I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
This is where we start. If I believe, then I will receive His instruction as His Beloved. So now, Revelation 2:1-7 we get to see the heart of God for the church of Ephesus.
"To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, "These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore, from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."'
Isn't there delight, excitement with your first love. Your thoughts are continually on them. You just can't wait to spend time with them. You dream of them. You hope for them. You trust them.
As time goes for awhile you begin to put other matters at the top of your priority list. You know those bills have to be paid somehow? After a time, you realize the day had slipped by and your young thoughts of love aren't calling to your heart as they used to.
The Love that Jesus covers us in is eternal because, He is Love! Who do you know that came from perfect heaven to put on skin to save you from hell? There is no one. No one but Jesus.
So, as I am reading about the church of Ephesus I realize I am not a teacher, or theologian. I can only apply what Holy Spirit is teaching me in my own life. Please, seek Him for wisdom. Take no guesses. This is not a game to be played. This is not chance. This is Truth revealed by the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
And, here it is after being inspired and written over 2,000 years ago. It is still with us today! God will always have the final say. We are given an opportunity to choose life because of His great Love for His creation. I am so glad I have been chosen by the Father, Redeemed by the Son and Sealed with His Spirit!! (Ephesians one).
Come to Jesus if you are weary of trying to do ministry. If you would rather not give the time to serve Him first then you better check our your First Love relationship with the Son of God.
He who has an ear will you hear?
Abundance is...renewing my First Love life
