Welcome back to Heartstrings family and friends

Time has moved swiftly. I cannot begin to tell you all that has happened since my last entry here. I have missed you but, the process of grieving has kept me hidden in the secret place. I have leaned on the promises of Psalm 91 as never before. My own mother is now in the sweet presence of Jesus. Tears, rejoicing, sadness and longing to see and talk to her are all jumbled with rises and falls. My hope has been to take each day at a time and know Jesus, my dearest friend.

Each day my hope is set on Christ. His Spirit is my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that His word revives me and gives me life. Psalm 119:49-50.

There is no greater place than to be sheltered, stable and fixed under the Shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand!

I have awakened often in the night as I hear many of you have. Instead of looking at this as a burden, I have been learning it is a call to give thanks and speak the matchless name of Jesus. It has been a special, without distraction, meeting place. I know the Lord is preparing us to be His Bride. He is coming soon! Look at the signs!

Recently, a life altering hurricane has swept over the eastern part of our nation. Some lives were lost. So much destruction! Family members are without power and have lost foods and water is tainted from the flooding. What can I do Lord? Pray.

Prayer seems like such a simple thing doesn't it. I mean words put together should make sense, but sometimes the ach is so strong, I wonder. If they are from your heart, presented to God, with thanksgiving, you can always know He hears and has a good work to do, even in the midst of trouble.

Hang onto the Word of God as an anchor. The storms will come. The winds will blow but we are to look to Him always to sustain us. Are you troubled today? Maybe, frustrated that your circumstances seem so unlikely to be resolved? There is hope.

Isaiah 43 has many promises. I love how personal they speak to my soul. We are told we don't have to fear because we are redeemed. The Lord calls us by name and says,"you are Mine."

My prayers are for Israel. Never forget His Chosen people. He has a plan. We must trust Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior..."

I think the greatest promise is found in verse 25..."I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins." Thank you Lord God!

This is why Jesus came, to save the lost. To redeem our lives back to the Father and seal us with His Holy Spirit as a guarantee of life eternal.

That brings me to this. I know, its long today. It might be the last time I can be here. Never know. So, if you can hang in there a bit longer, I know you will be blessed. If you are a believer you see the things happening in the world, can't you see? We have the Bible to compare with the true news.

God wants us to hold fast to Him. Let His Word be our standard. Trust Him above all others. He is faithful and true and never changes. Reading the Bible prayerfully, the Holy Spirit will be our Teacher. Our eyes will see how Mighty the Lord is and we will find our shelter in the Almighty.

I was reading this morning Luke 14. For the first time I understood what Jesus was telling us. Verses 16-24. The thing that really struck me was that excuses are made by the very ones the Master had called to the Great Supper. I had to ask myself, honestly, what my excuses are.

Is it your business? A relationship? A means to acquire more? What ever the excuse, we will only miss out on the most wonderful supper! So, the Master says, to go out and bring others in to fill His house. Whether weak or poor. So, the servant went, but still could not fill the spaces at the table. Still, there is more room.

Today, many are coming to Christ. Many thousands in this great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God wants His house to be full of many sons and daughters! Are you one of them? I am on the lookout for opportunities to bring others into the family of God. If God will use me, I am willing.

It does not matter what I have lost, or how weak I am...I long to be an instrument for His glory! Does this speak to you believer? Come away to Jesus and be delivered from all your cares and distractions. Be free and let the Lord pour His mercy and grace upon and through you.

I wanted to say more, but this will do for now. The journey we are on should bring us to greater dependance upon God. In every way. Regardless of circumstances. With our focus on the Lord and His Word on our lips. Worship the Lord with all your heart. He longs for more time with you. Will you give it to Him? No excuses?

The Lord bless you and keep you and cause your hearts desire is to humbly come before the throne of Grace. You are in my thoughts and prayers. We say, "Come quickly Lord Jesus! Come!"

Abundance is...found in the matchless name of Jesus
